Scam Exposed

I have really been angry since I nearly fell victim to a scammer because I let my guard down.
Allow me to elaborate gentle reader.
Several weeks hence I recieved a letter and blank information card to fill out and send back to

CAMBRIDGE WHO'S WHO

and I did and promptly forgot about it. Yesterday I recieved a telephone call from Cambridge Who's Who for a purported 'telephone' interview to ascertain my fitness to be included in Cambridge Who's Who, my heart soared, my brain bubbled and I was delighted beyond verbal or written description when I was informed that I WOULD be included in CWW.

THEN

Came the pitch, I was informed about all of these fabulous services and certificates and more that I would recieve from CWW...IF I sent them $719.00. Red Flags went up immediately, and I made all of the appropriate noises about how I didn't use credit cards etc etc etc but would send CWW a check in (7)seven days. My heart landed, quite hard I might add and the bubbling in my brain remained, but it was due to rage...

IMMEDIATELY

I went online to ripoffreport.com and discovered this scam had been going on for quite a while now. There were other contacts I made, all of whom will remain confidential and I also discovered there is a list so far of eight hundred and fifty others that have been duped by CWW.

THIS MORNING

I contacted the Postmaster Generals Office in Atlanta. Ga and they divulged information that the so called Cambridge Who's Who is under Investigation by the PG's Office for mail fraud.

FRIENDS, BE WARNED

If you recieve any communication from these less than illustrious individuals, toss it, it's a scam from the word go!

WHY AM I IN A RAGE?

Plain out simple, For years I have been struggling to make legitimate name for myself as a freelance writer, been sweating bullets and typing my grubby little fingers to the bone and along Cambridge and their dubious acceptance of me made me think that AHA! I've made it, finally!Now I'll have some sort of recognition and enhanced networking possibilities, almost anyway.

Cambridge Who's Who people play on that desire to rise to the top like the cream of the crop that we freelance writers AND other crafts and skills and professions want to.

WRONG!

They are vultures, vampires, scammers and liars, and any convenient excuse they can render or put together is just that... a friggin' excuse!

SOUR GRAPES?

NO! just outrage, plain and simple...
